Severely Disappointed
I was out last night with friends at that Borough place in Podium and i was really disappointed with how the staff handled a small mishap that could have been solved easily.
Basically what happened was, i ordered something that had a variation on the menu that i was not aware of. It resulted in the servers giving me exactly what i said even if thats not what i wanted.
When i tried to clear it up and change my order, i was given some crap of not being able to change orders anymore, about it being punched in etc. etc. You know how it goes.
So i said, i wanted the other thing and did not know that what i said had an exact menu item on their list and if it would be possible for the servers to do something about it.
Sure enough, they did, i got what i wanted, but it was about 70 pesos more expensive because they charged me with 2 different items when they could have just given me one. And this was because they “could not change the order anymore”
Its not about the money. i think i can handle 70 pesos. Its the principle. Why would i pay for something more than its regular price just because i made a small error when i asked for it? Am i supposed to study their menu like a law school exam so i know exactly what i am going to order and make no mistakes? Not that its a hard thing, but as a customer, it makes you feel uncomfortable being in their establishment since it feels like they’re out to get you. You know what i mean?
I asked for a manager so i can discuss it properly to no avail. They said there was no manager nor supervisor present at that time.
I know im not supposed to make a big deal out of this because this is in the Philippines where you can never complain about poor service and narrow minded crap since its rampant everywhere. But for an establishment that charges people at the ballpark of US rates, i expected more.
If you know the owners of Borough or their managing team or whatever. Please. Forward this to them. I would love to have a word.
